Built in the 60s exclusively with boatmen and their needs in mind, Radazul offers some of the best conditions for yachts in the Canary islands, while also being the perfect place to start exploring Tenerife. It's easily accesible and still remote enough to remove you from any major town and the agglomeration.

General Info
Just 13km south of Santa Cruz on Tenerife island lays the small marina of Radazul in what can be considered as a very interesting setting, with a steep hill overlooking the harbor and the blue waters of the Atlantic, with the many white yachts ready to receive the eager groups.

Travel & Arrival
The proximity to the island’s capital city affords Puerto Deportivo Radazul easy connections from anywhere in Europe. The airport is located on the south side of the island, 54 km by road on the TF1 which is a 37 minute ride if your group rents a car. This is actually a good way to get around the island.

By water, the harbor in Santa Cruz is the Spanish mainland, as well as with the other Canary Islands. The main ferry lines run to and from Cadiz, Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and Morrojable.

Avant & Apres Sail
The Puerto Deportivo Radazul is considered one of the best starting points for exploring the east coast of Tenerife and as a result, most activities and sights are located at other places on the island of course, the main sight would have to be the city of Santa Cruz, but on Tenerife island are many other places that appeal especially to tourists. There are natural parks to be visited such as the Siam Park, the Monkey Park or Loro Park and dolphin watching cruises in glass bottom catamarans.

Restaurants offer a wide array of fish dishes, among the most favored being the “La vieja”, the sardines and the chicarro, but there are also pork dishes like the “conejo en salmorejo”. The wine connoisseurs will surely enjoy the offer of young wines which are typically served in “guachines” the local watering holes where people flock during the weekends.

There isn’t much in terms of nightlife but, those visitors who can’t sleep should take a trip to Santa Cruz’s old district where they’ll find something for every taste and budget.

Events & Actions
Outside of water activites like diving, swimming and fishing, the public can also engage in fun pastimes such as camel riding, go-karting, or playing a number of sports. Of course, the main activity remains sailing since this is one of the best mooring places for boats on the island, especially since they also provide winter quarters for many yachts.
