On BOOT 2009 a new initiative for introducing a Yacht Charter Cuality Classification under the trade mark “YachtCheck®” is launched.
According to the European Commission's survey statement “Quality becomes the decisive competitive instrument in tourism.” quality classifications play a crucial for marketing and selling touristic products. The problem in the yacht charter market is the absence of any international bench mark for quality standards.
In order to cover this gap YachtCheck® is launched as an important contribution for classifying the quality and the service of yacht charter operators in order to establish charter rates that secure return on investments.

Better services and higher quality require investments from the boat owners and yacht charter operators. Quality reflects in the charter price of a yacht. Until now it was difficult to display and market a higher service level. Especially in the tough online market often only the price was crucial criterium for booking a yacht.
YachtCheck® provides a 5-Star Quality Classification for international yacht charter operators. Each additional star represents a higher quality standard of the offered services.
The YachtCheck® requirement catalogue defines relevant criteria for yacht charter operators and their charter fleets. Charter operators fulfilling these requirements can be certified by quality stars.
