6. Day: Puerto de Campos → Natural port Cala d’Or

Puerto Campos Cala d’Or

Sailing from Puerto de Campos to Cala d’Or you pass by the port entrance of Cala Figeura one more time. The port entrance is marked by this tower.

From Puerto de Campos you sail some 15 sea miles to the north-east to the port of Cala d’Or. You sail along the beautiful rocky coast and pass by many bays where you can make a bathing stop, such as Cala S’Almunia or Cala Llombards. Perfect areas also for snorkelling!

 

Cala d’Or belongs to the most beautiful bays of Majorca. On the hill Es Forti, there is a small castle dating from the year 1730, which used to be a protection from pirates. During the last few years, the port of Cala d’Or has been enlarged and modernised. Since then, it is referred to as one of the safest ports on the Balearics. Around the port as well as in the old town, there is a good variety of first class restaurants with typical Majorcan and Spanish cuisine, where you should taste fresh fish dishes, as well as some good Italian and German restaurants.
