Menorca’s Southern Coast – View from Cala Macarella to the south

On your 5th cruising day, the day destination is the old capital town of Menorca Ciutadella, which has kept its original atmosphere until now. Unlike Mahon, the townscape here is typically Spanish with many details from Arabic and gothic architecture. In the Middle Ages, Ciutadella used to be the centre of Menorcan aristocracy and the seat of the church. The old town above the port is worth visiting. You follow the narrow streets to the old plazas with gorgeous buildings. Behind the town hall on the Paseo Borne you can enjoy a beautiful view over the picturesque port. There are numerous restaurants on the port side.
