Kos is a splendid greek island. It's famous for its picturesque views
After Rhodes, Kos, having the total area of 290 square kilometres, is the second biggest island of the Dodecanese group of islands, which is also called the “Twelve Islands Area”. Kos is situated just 4 km off the coastline of the Turkish peninsula Bodrum. According to the Greek mythology, the inhabitants of Kos were descendants of the famous hero Herakles. In the course of history, the island was also reigned by the Macedonian and Egyptian conquerors, Knights Hospitallers and the Turks.
