Here, the Club de Mar marina has been operating for some 23 years, increasing the prestige of the local yachting community. The exact location of the marina grounds is on the western side of the Bay of Palma, with the coordinates: latitude 39° 34’ and longitude 2° 38’, which will set arrivals just 10 minutes from Palma de Mallorca International airport. It faces the inside of the bay and has a number of piers and breakwaters that cater for boats up to 120m in length. The outer breakwater is parallel to the coast and is followed by a smaller, similarly shaped pier inside the marina. Both are marked with red flashing lights, as is the main pier entry.
Since the marina is so close to the commercial harbor, there are little to no underwater hazards. However, a nighttime approach should increase the danger of collision due to the large number of vessels circulating the area, especially during the high season. Instructions for the approach can be obtained from the marina by contacting them on VHF channel 16 and 9.
Infrastructure & Ambience The marina Club de Mar is known as a top spot when it comes to services and provisioning, which is why so many crews choose to moor here. There are 500 berths for guests and an additional 120 dry berths, all of which are equipped with power (220V and 380V) and water outlets, as well as diesel and petrol refueling using a hydrant system for boats over 15m.
Additional services at the berth are wi-fi access, towing and salvage, phone access, and 24h security. The marina also has a service station which can provide with a number of services depending on the type of work you need done on your boat. skippers can find here mechanics, plumbers, carpenters, electricians. A battery recharge service and a bareboat maintenance is also available.
The modern marina also has showers and toilets, as well as an amazing pool within the “Harbor Club” where the tires and thirsty sailor can find some entertainment facilities where he can relax and take in the Mallorcan experience. If these seem a bit too overpriced, then the sailor can just head out across the street where there are numerous other bars and clubs that stay open until the morning light.
