Marina Nettuno - Outstanding Marina on the Coast of Latium

Location & Approach
Just an hour away from Rome, the town of Nettuno is famous for a couple of things, but since it’s named after the god of the sea, it’s easy to understand that sailing and tourism play a big role in this place on Italy’s western coast.

The effort gone into building this rather large can be noticed as soon as you first lay eyes on the Nettuno marina and among locals it’s a common known fact that since it was built it has provided quality services to the community.

The location of the marina is close to the town center, perpendicular to one of the hottest places of the sea front in town (coordinates 41° 27' N, 12° 39' E). It’s also very well protected by two large breakwaters that form a rectangle, except for a small space which represent the entry to the marina. The approach is made easy due to the fact that the entry faces the southeast and is clearly marked with lights to warn skippers. Contact the marina office on VHF channel 9 for mooring assistance.

Infrastructure & Ambience
At over 800 berths, this is one of the larger marinas in the area that caters to yachts of medium to large size up to 20m in length and with a draft up to 4m. Mooring is made with the help of mooring ropes along the numerous piers inside the marina which are equipped with drinking water and electricity (220V) connections.

Inside the marina skippers will find repair facilities for their boats, including a ramp, a 50t crane, a 100t travel lift and a service station, all of which are in the shipyard. If you’re boat doesn’t need fixing then just enjoy the many client-related services the marina has to offer, such as showers and toilets, dressing rooms, a market, a weather service, parking, a restaurant and 4 bars, not to mention a chandlery where you can do some shopping for your boat.

The region where Nettuno is situated seems to be oddly wild, despite the fact it’s very close to Rome, Italy’s capital city. This portion of the shore is perfect for some exploring and also provides a number of connections which means it’s also a great starting location for day trips along the western shore of the peninsula in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
