General Info
Right at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf sits the town of Preveza, on a strip of land that overlooks the Ionian Sea. This picturesque region in Greece has been inhabited since ancient times and today, modern Yacht Charter tourists can marvel at the ruins of the ancient city of Nicopolis just 5 miles from Preveza, built to commemorate the victory after the famous Battle of Actium.
The city is the capital of the prefecture with the same name and it’s located 385 km from Athens. The main attractions to this famous region are the thermal baths and the wonderful scenery constituted by the Thesprotian Mountains and the blue waters of the Ionian Sea which draw the Yacht Charter crowds during the summer months like moths to a flame.
Travel & Arrival
Just 7 km from Aktion National Airport means that travelling to Preveza is not only easy but also makes for a short trip. Some Yacht Charter tourists might know this airport as Lefkada Airport. It services flights from Olympic Air and Air Berlin, but during the summer months it also gets flights from Monrach Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Transavia and Viking Airlines.
