Yacht Charter El Arenal

El Arenal El Arenal
El Arenal – Stronghold of Amusement
El Arenal is in fact especially made for charter quests looking for fun, amusement and excessive nightlife. There is enough of that, so that nobody will feel lonely or bored. For all other charter crews there is not much to see, except of the new sea water aquarium, which is really worth visiting. But – if you want to have s great time and taste German beer you are at the right place!

General Info
The german dominated beach resort, El Arenal is locted on the eastern shore of the Bay of Palma in Mallorca. This Yacht Charter location was built with mass tourism in mind which is why you’ll find narrow crowded streets.

However, the long, sandy beaches make it the perfect place for a Mediterranean holiday.
Today, El Arenal is especially popular with German Yacht Charter tourists, many of which have decided to stay and build homes here. Others just come here for the holidays, but the large numbers have definitely changed the face of the resort, which now has a very vibrant nightlife and provides lots of water sport activities.

Travel & Arrival
Its position by the Bay of Palma, means it’s close to the Palma de Mallorca airport, less than 10km, making transfers real easy. However, much like in Can Pastilla, another Yacht Charter resort, you’ll find that there are no direct links, meaning you’ll have to fend for yourself by getting on a taxi or a shuttle bus.

The Ma-19 (autovia de Levante) is the main road into town, which not only connects it with the airport but also with a number of other Yacht Charter resorts around the bay, including Palma. By water, the closest ferry node is Palma, which has boats arriving from Spain (Valencia, Barcelona, Denia) and the other Balearic islands (Ibiza, Mahon).

Avant & Apres Sail
Without a doubt, the best sight in town is the wide promenade, which actually connects with the one in C’an Pastilla and Palma to form one continuous pedestrian zone, free of traffic. Although many Yacht Charter visitors make the journey by foot at dusk to fully enjoy the sunset, there is also a mini train that can carry you between the resorts in a couple of minutes.

The shops in El Arenal sell the usual touristy stuff, mostly souvenirs and beach clothing. For a real Yacht Charter shopping experience, you can always head out to neighboring C’an Pastilla at the markets where you can buy ceramics, leather goods, jewelry, embroideries and glassware. If you’re still not satisfied, you can try Palma.

When it comes to dining out, El Arenal has establishments for all tastes and pockets, from a la carte restaurants to fast food joints and pubs. Especially delicious are the local Mallorcan fish recipes which go well with the local wines, quite fragrant and also inexpensive. Yacht Charter sailors choose the harbor restaurants for a nice view of the sunset while enjoying their meal.

As opposed to C’an Pastilla, the nightlife in El Arenal is very busy and quite chaotic at times, but that’s exactly how the Yacht Charter fun seekers like it. The bars and clubs stay open until the early hours of the morning so you’re sure to find some entertainment even after midnight. For a quieter night out, head away from the resort center and into the holiday complexes outside of town.

Events & Actions
Since the beach in El Arenal is the main attraction, you’ll find the water sports here facilities are very well developed and cater to the most demanding Yacht Charter aficionados. Here you can practice kite surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, scuba diving and fishing, apart from the sailing. On land, golf and cycling are very big here, but there’s also the famous waterpark which claims to be the largest in Europe and have some of the most dangerous rides.
