28.08.2006 - Crewed Sailing Charters South Pacific

“Ni Sa Bula” – Welcome to the Fiji Islands! The Fiji - the safe charter destination, a world apart - Exotic, sun drenched, tropical, tranquil, and unspoiled.

Fiji is the cross roads, the central hub of the South Pacific Islands. Sunny, unique and unspoiled.

Crewed Sailing Charters South Pacific - FijiThe Fiji islands are one thousand miles of pristine white sand beaches, fabulous coral gardens and azure lagoons and most memorably 800,000 smiling faces of the friendliest people on earth.

The Fijian people are famous for their genuine friendliness. In the tranquil villages on the outlying islands our charter clients are welcomed as honored guests, as they accompany the crew of yacht "Tavake" visiting their friends in the islands.

Sailing Adventures Fiji (Ltd) is an owner-operated charter company offering crewed charters aboard our 50 foot cutter, “Tavake”. We specialize in charters for honeymooners, lovers, romantics and adventurers seeking the realization of childhood dreams, of sailing to faraway tropical places. We invite you to experience the adventure of your lifetime, a unique charter experience in the exotic & tropical Yasawa Islands, and beyond. We offer several suggested voyages, selected from an almost limitless choice of cruise options.

Itinerary:

Each sailing cruise takes a unique meandering course through the 333 Fiji Islands. Each option delivers you to remote & pristine wilderness destinations, inaccessible to tourists. No crowded anchorages here. The menacing clouds of the rest of the world’s troubles do not penetrate the tranquil anchorages of these islands.

Getting there:

Fiji is accessible by over 85 flights a week, direct from L.A., Honolulu, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney and Auckland.

Arrival:

On your arrival, you will immediately feel a calming effect as the serenity encompasses you. We operate out of the Port of Lautoka, on the west coast of the mainland of Viti Levu (4,010-square-miles), the largest island of the Fijian Group, a twenty minute drive from the Nadi International Airport.

Language:

Our crew is multi-lingual: English, Fijian, Hindi & French.

Important information about Fiji:

  • The 333 Fiji Islands are scattered over three million square kilometers of Oceania, continuously swept by trade winds from the east and southeast – a sailor’s dream come true.
  • Fiji enjoys an ideal South Sea tropical climate. There is a mild, dry season May-October, with a warm, wetter phase November-April. Temperatures range from 70–90o F, daytime, and the evenings are in the high 70's throughout the year. The water temperature is 72-87oF. The Trade Winds bring year long cooling breezes, particularly in late afternoon and early evening.
  • Although the 180th Meridian passes through the Fiji Group, the International Date Line is adjusted so that the entire archipelago falls into the same time zone - 12 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
  • The season for our tropical rains is from December through February coinciding with our warmest summer months.
  • Fiji is an English speaking country.
  • The water is safe to drink from the tap. Fiji Water is described as one of the finest examples of living water available today. It tastes good too! It is bottled and shipped all over the world.
