Menorca’s southern coast – Bathing bay

The water quality in the bays of Menorca’s southern coast is fantastic. Many of them are nature conservation areas and therefore unspoilt.

Coming from Mahon, you sail some 15 sea miles back around the south-eastern cape of Menroca to Cala Covas. The bay is difficult to access from the landside. Therefore, for many sailors it is the bay of their dreams, where they forget about time. As you can derive from the name of the bay, there are many caves in its rocky walls, which are inhabited by young dropouts wanting to escape the civilization. The bay has two perfect sand beaches and a water spring with immaculate water quality. Here, you can refill your water tanks.
