The sailing region around Vancouver Island and the hundereds of small islands in front of it is one of the most beautiful and still the most untouched water sports regions of the world. Navigating in this area demands quite some experience from the skipper as he has to consider streamings of about 12 knots in different narrow passages as well as the tidal range of up to 6 metres in the northerly part of the sailing region.
